PROJECT
The projects started with a collaboration with Juan Andrés Matos. He worked on an original Salsa track that was meant to be used as diegetic music. That sparked the idea/challenge of creating the entire score with salsa instrumentation. This gave us the freedom to seamlessly weave in and out from score to diegetic music. Creating a horror feel by bending our salsa music over itself. The recurring melody was playing on a Ukelele Bass through a compressor using a rubber pick. Giving it that muted yet resonant sound.
